A young leader, special guest of the European Cooperation System.
The European Cooperation System, as part of its high-level global event, the Universal Women’s Leadership Forum – Florida 2025, took a keen interest in the exceptional career of Ms Golshan Barazesh Bakhtiary, President of the Miss Persia Organisation Committee and a fervent activist for women’s empowerment. Her story embodies resilience, leadership and commitment to the cause of women, values that resonate perfectly with the spirit of the Universal Forum on Women’s Leadership, scheduled for 21-23 October 2025 at the prestigious Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Centre in Florida, United States.

A journey marked by courage and resilience.
Born in southern Iran into a privileged family, Ms. Golshan chose to renounce the material advantages of her social background in order to forge an independent identity. In a country marked by the conservative influence of tradition, she showed extreme courage in renouncing her family’s wealth and her comfortable lifestyle. Her departure for abroad marked the beginning of a path fraught with obstacles. In the face of adversity, she managed to turn all these obstacles into opportunities to redefine her future. After living in precarious conditions both at home and abroad, including three months in a garage, she overcame countless trials thanks to her unwavering determination, reflecting the courage of Iranian women.
Her quest for empowerment has not been solely personal.
President Golshan Barazesh Bakhtiary has undertaken innovative and bold campaigns to draw attention to the rights of Iranian women. Through symbolic gestures such as running barefoot for 18 kilometres or organising marches to raise awareness in communities in her country and abroad, she has demonstrated remarkable creativity and perseverance in her advocacy for the inclusion of Iranian women in the Miss Universe pageant.
Committed leadership for vital and humanitarian causes.
In addition to her work as an activist, President Golshan Barazesh Bakhtiary has also distinguished herself in the humanitarian field. She has a nursing assistant diploma and is continuing her training in pharmacy in Italy. In 2019, she chose to use her professional expertise in obstetrics and pharmacy to treat people in a village Mêydavûd on the border between Iran and Iraq during a period of intense tribal conflict that left more than 400 people wounded and 22 dead. Ms. Golshan Barazesh volunteered to provide essential care despite the risks to her own safety in this village. Her courage and dedication earned her national recognition from the Iranian Medical System Organisation, where she was honoured for her outstanding contributions in times of crisis.
An inspiration for the 2025 Universal Women’s Leadership Forum.
Golshan’s journey perfectly illustrates the central themes of the Universal Women’s Leadership Forum: resilience in the face of adversity, commitment to women’s empowerment, and leadership through action. At just 34 years old in 2025, her life, punctuated by struggles and triumphs, is a powerful testament to the power of personal and community transformation that women leaders can embody.

Faced with the current events shaking her country of origin, Ms. Golshan Barazesh Bakhtiary continues to support the women and children of Iran, advocating for a return to peace and freedom in Iran. A resident of Italy for several years, she dreams of passing on her leadership skills to women in Iran and around the world.
The creation of a synergy of forces around other women leaders in Florida.
At the Universal Forum on Women’s Leadership – Florida 2025, Ms Golshan Barazesh Bakhtiary will share her unique experience to inspire thousands of participants to pursue their own aspirations and become agents of change in their communities. Her speech will embody a call to action to break down barriers, promote gender equality and defend women’s rights globally.
It is in this universal context of female bravery that President Golshan Barazesh Bakhtiary has been officially invited to participate in the Universal Women’s Leadership Forum from 21 to 23 October 2025 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Centre in Florida, United States.
She is a living symbol of hope, strength and the impact that authentic and committed leadership can have.
